    Gorgeous views.
    Lovely cafe with really tasty sandwiches, snacks, coffee and drinks.
    Engaging, educational exhibitions and workshops.
    And a fantastic library.
    What more could you ask for.
    Go there. It is well worth it.

    While I love the cultural centre itself I'm not sure what has happened to the cafe? I ordered a Greek salad today. Not cheap at $16.00. I got a plate of rocket with hardly any feta, tomatoes or cucumber. Possibly 2 tiny pieces of tomato and 2 tiny cubes of cucumber. A tiny crumble of feta. A rip off at that price for what was essentially a plate of rocket.

    Won't be eating there again.

    Wonderful view, great community feel, welcoming staff. Personally me favourite section is the gallery, always interesting subject matter and brilliant works. Also great because its free entry for 16 and under, but if your over 16 it is a very reasonable prise for entry.

    Got there at 3.57pm (ok, yes it was close to their apparent closing time) was told they closed three minutes ago and I couldn’t get banana bread. No smile on greeting and was ignored for about a minute before I was told this. Used to be a nice place, today I was treated as an inconvenience. At least go by the correct time.

    We travel around a lot and hang out in lots of Libraries. Katoomba is our favourite !
    It's not just because is is large and light with beautiful views and lovely windows to gaze out of. Or because it has great ease of internet use, a wonder kids area, nice and clean, well set out shelves and a lovely lounge area to read the papers and magazines.
    It's also to do with the great "feeling" this library has which, I am sure, has lots to do with the super staff.
